Ecklund elected president of the Society for Clinical Trials

Congratulations to Dixie Ecklund, director of operations for the Clinical Trials Statistical and Data Management Center, who was recently announced as president-elect of the Society for Clinical Trials.

“This is a prestigious honor, and a reflection of the high regard for Dixie and her work among those who specialize in the design, conduct, analyses, and reporting of clinical trials,” says Joe Cavanaugh, professor and head of biostatistics. “Dixie has had a distinguished career, and her role in managing and guiding the Clinical Trials Statistical and Data Management Center is one of the reasons it has been so successful!”

The Society for Clinical Trials is an educational, charitable, and scientific organization whose mission is to work internationally to advance human health through advocating the use of clinical trials, leading the development and dissemination of optimal methods and practices in clinical trials, and educating and developing all clinical trial professionals.
