CTSDMC contributes to 2019 Abstract of Distinction

Published on March 27, 2019

A research abstract titled “Clinical and imaging characteristics of non-manifest LRRK2 and GBA carriers: The PPMI cohort” has been selected by the American Academy of Neurology as a “2019 AAN Abstract of Distinction.”

The Abstracts of Distinction program recognizes the top scientific achievement in each abstract topic area and is awarded to only a small number of superior abstracts. There are 24 Abstracts of Distinction this year that were carefully selected from the 3000+ abstracts submitted for the 2019 Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.

The Clinical Trials Statistical and Data Management Center (CTSDMC) based in the UI College of Public Health currently serves as the statistics core for the Parkinson’s Progression Marker’s Initiative.

“This is quite an honor for the PPMI team as a whole, and a particular testament to the strength of our statistical group here at the CTSDMC,” says Chris Coffey, director of the CTSDMC.
